The regional airports, in particular Charleroi and Liège, have registered explosive growth in traffic. Against this background, the Société Wallonne des Aéroports (SOWAER) has called on SPIE over many years for its airport infrastructures.
In partnership with the contractors Wanty and TRBA, SPIE Belgium is taking part in the extension of the Charleroi airport runway to put in new marking structures, an essential element for the safe movement of aircraft on the ground, day and night.
SPIE Belgium is also tasked with equipping new access ramps in the parking areas and temporary gates created for the transfer of approach lighting.
An expert in this type of electrification, SPIE Belgium has already worked for most Belgian civil and military airports.
